SkylerLabs Quick Release Hood Hinges allow you to remove your hood at the show or at the track without using tools and without the trouble of realigning the hood after reinstallation like with OEM hinges. Removing the hood takes a couple of seconds. Once the hood is lifted over 85 degrees, you can lift it right off, below that the hood is held securely.
(Because of the weight of the hood and to make sure you dont damage anything, it is advisable for someone to assist you with hood removal. Carbon hoods should be easier to remove).
 
There is one stainless steel locking pin per hinge that is used to install the hinges.
 
You can leave it in for added protection or remove it once you install your hinges.
 
- Hinges are CNC machined out of 6082-T6 aluminum.
- All hinges are anodized.
- Lower part of the hinges is designed with replacable brass parts.
- Laser engraved Top hinge on drivers side.
(CUSTOM ENGRAVING - for custom engraving customer has to provide vector graphic)

NOTE:
(RUBBER PARTS ON OEM WINDSHIELD GLASS COWL has to be removed since the quick release hinges are thicker than stock hinges. Some trimming of seam sealer on the car body could be necessary when installing the bottom part of the hinge. You can do this using an exacto knife)
